Scott Johnson is a multi-instrumentalist entertainer, educator, composer and community organizer based in Los Angeles/Orange County in Southern California. Connect!
Disney Entertainer
Scott regularly performs at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure in Anaheim, CA.
Community Organizer
He was a community organizer in South Central LA and Skid Row in Los Angeles, 2007-2011. He worked closely with Para Los Niños 503(c)(3) and volunteered with local community organizing non-profits.
Non-profit Management
For 3 years Scott managed the SLAM! Music Program 501(c)(3), a vibrant volunteer network of university student volunteers with under-resourced schools for FREE music education! Here, Scott personally coached hundreds of UCLA, USC, and MI student volunteers as they taught music to thousands of middle & high school students.
Scott wrote 2 curriculum books for SLAM! Music Program 501(c)(3). He now serves on the Staff Advisory Council.
Educator
Mr. Johnson earned his MA and a K-12 Music Credential at USC. He has taught at some of Southern California’s top arts schools, including The Academy of Music at Hamilton HS in West LA, the prestigious Village School in the Pacific Palisades, and the Los Alamitos USD music programs. He currently (2023) serves as Director of Guitar at California School of the Arts, San Gabriel Valley.
Children’s Musical Composer
Scott co-wrote and produced his first original children’s musical with Denny Siegel (of “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm”). This musical was lovingly written for the amazing students of Los Alamitos Elementary.
